Individual Therapy
We will look at negative automatic thoughts that are keeping you stuck, sad, anxious. We examine the roots of these thought patterns. Then we get to work at becoming mindful of our automatic thoughts and shifting them. I AM A FIRM BELIEVER THAT OUR THOUGTHS CAUSE OUR FEELINGS AND BEHAVIORS. SO LET’S GET IN THERE AND CLEAN THEM UP!!
We will add behaviors that are necessary for emotional well-being, remove others, and add behaviors that help us face our fears and overcome them! I tailor my specific approach to each individual client’s needs, sprinkling in a bit of life coaching, cheerleading, confidante, internal family systems therapy techniques, and DBT methods.
Couples Therapy
We will look at shifts in relationship happiness and when they began. We will focus largely on communication and trust. Two distinct people from different nuclear families will most definitely disagree and agitate each other. The real work is how we disagree and communicate!!! We will improve communication and look to add some fun into your relationship.
Group Therapy
Now forming
New mother’s group – Let’s be real about the challenges of motherhood and leave the pretty Instagram pictures of others behind. We find ways to support each other and feel less alone in the struggles of early motherhood. Divorce group – It can be so difficult to regroup and pick ourselves up after a divorce on so many levels ( emotional, financial, co-parenting). I know first hand. In this group you will find support, advice, and a feeling of connectedness that is vital at this time.
